VinylOS

The night leaves a record.

VinylOS writes down every record that goes on the turntable and every one a guest asks for. Guests browse the shelf on a tablet; the bar taps once at the deck. By the end of the month you have a buying list you can defend.

Three touches. None of them yours.

Nothing to type at one in the morning. The system runs on what already happens in the room.

01

A guest picks

The whole shelf on one iPad — search, decades, what has rarely been played. A tap sends the request to the bar.

02

The bar taps once

An NFC tag in the sleeve, touched to a small reader at the turntable. That is the entire staff workflow. Duration records itself between taps.

03

The ledger builds

Every play, every request, and the gap between them — what the room wanted that the shelf could not serve.

Demand against the shelf.

Oxblood is what the room asks for. Sage is what the shelf holds. Where the bars disagree, that is your next order — or the crate to thin out.

A record pulled at minute eight is not a record the room liked, so plays are weighted by how long they stayed on.

A buying list, not a hunch.

Assembled from requests the shelf could not serve plus the genre gaps above, priced across Discogs and eBay.

Runs in the room you already have.

One iPad, an NFC sticker per sleeve, a reader the size of a coaster at the deck. Guests install nothing. It works from the first night without any hardware at all — the taps can start in the interface and move to the reader when it arrives.
